Ms. Aglaia C.F. Kong

Director of General Partner  

Aglaia C.F. Kong is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in leading technology development at companies like Google, Cisco, and Symantec. At Google she served as the CTO of Corporate Networking, overseeing Google and Alphabet network infrastructure, where she played a pivotal role in developing Software-defined Networking (SDN) infrastructures. Her work at Google involved leveraging AI and Machine Learning to optimize network operations globally. At Cisco, Ms. Kong served as the CTO for both the Internet of Everything (IoE) and Cisco China, focusing on integrating digital technologies in sectors such as healthcare, smart cities, and energy management under the China Country Investment Initiative. She also achieved recognition at Symantec, becoming the first female Fellow and Vice President, noted for her leadership and contributions to the field. Ms. Kong whose inventions were adopted in GPS and by NASA, holds a significant portfolio of patents in areas like security, storage, and networking, demonstrating her ability to leverage technology for functional and strategic innovations.​​​

Ms. Chan Wah Man Carman

Investment Manager

Ms. Carman Chan has 30 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance, and financial advisory. She developed her expertise with leading European investment banks, private equity funds, and prominent Chinese enterprises. Since early 2020, Ms. Chan has served as Managing Director at CC Kingdom Corporate Finance Limited and, in 2021, co-founded CCVCL to focus on fund setup, advisory, asset management, and fund monitoring. Previously, she led the Investment Banking Department at Tian Yuan International Finance, advising on Hong Kong Stock Exchange transactions, M&A structuring, fund syndication, and share and bond placements. At Wallbanck Brothers Securities, she headed both the Corporate Finance and Private Equity departments, following her tenure at Rabobank International handling M&A and corporate advisory. Earlier, she was an Associate Director with Baring Capital Partners, ING Group, and Suez Asia Holdings, and supported IPOs with Seapower Financial Services and China Merchants. Ms. Chan holds a degree in Finance from Bemidji State University and a Master’s in Accounting from Curtin University. A Certified Public Accountant (HKICPA, CPA Aust.), she is licensed by the HKSFC to conduct regulated activities in securities dealing, corporate finance, asset management, and securities advisory. Ms. Chan also serves as an independent non-executive director of Star Group Company Limited (Stock code 1560).

Mr. Cheung Wai On Simon 

Financial Adviser 

Mr. Cheung is a seasoned financial executive with over 20 years of experience, specializing in institutional investment and advisory for publicly listed companies in Hong Kong and Mainland China. A Hong Kong native, he holds four degrees and postgraduate qualifications from the UK, Australia, Beijing, and Hong Kong. Currently serving as Executive Director at CC Kingdom Corporate Finance Limited (Type 1 and Type 6 LC), Mr. Cheung focuses on M&A deal origination for public companies and is licensed by the HKSFC for securities and corporate finance activities (RO 1 and RO 6). With a keen interest in Fintech and Regtech ventures, he divides his time between Hong Kong and Moscow. Mr. Cheung also serves as a visiting professor at the Hong Kong Financial Service Institute, teaching senior executives of China’s financial institutions, and as an advisor to Hang Seng University. He is additionally a visiting lecturer for the International MBA program at RANEPA in Russia. His educational background includes degrees in Economics, Law, Agriculture (Economics), Business Administration, and Law from respected universities across the UK, Australia, China, and Hong Kong.

Mr. Edmond E. Amir

Edmond E. Amir is the General Manager at China Development Integration Limited (CDIL), where he leads international projects and strategic partnerships. He has managed CDIL's global expansion and major infrastructure initiatives, including the Hyperloop, and has established alliances with state-owned enterprises in the energy, transportation, and technology sectors. As Head of International Projects and Board Member at the Belt and Road EPC Fund, he oversees investments in large-scale EPC projects such as BOT, BOOT, PPP, and revenue-sharing models. His expertise covers transportation, water utilities, marine infrastructure, natural resources, mining, metal trading, and finance operations worldwide.

Mr. Eyal Harel Adv.  

Corporate Counsel, Investments & Subsidiaries

Eyal Harel serves as Corporate Counsel for Parallel Strategy investments and subsidiaries, specializing in law and technology. Previously, he was a senior associate at a leading law firm, where he advised technology companies on intellectual property, joint ventures, regulatory compliance, IPOs, M&A, and capital raising. Mr. Harel holds degrees in Computer Science from the Open University of Israel and Law from Tel Aviv University, graduating with honors, and is also licensed to practice law in the USA after completing studies at NYU Law. At Parallel Strategy, he oversees legal affairs for the firm’s investment portfolio, including regulatory compliance, legal risk management, and IP protection. Collaborating with the board, he ensures legal considerations are seamlessly integrated into corporate strategies, formations, jurisdictions, and structures. He actively contributes to the legal and technology sectors through lectures and industry events.

Mr. Karim El Masry

Director of the General Partner

Karim El Masry is a seasoned investment manager with extensive experience working with some of the Gulf's most prominent sovereign wealth funds, including the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). His expertise in managing large-scale government-led projects has fostered strategic partnerships and relationships with key financial entities and members of the Royal Family. Over the past two decades, he has successfully managed substantial investments, strategically channeling oil surplus revenues into global assets. This investment approach has contributed to reducing regional oil dependency and supporting sustainable economic growth. His work has supported various high-profile projects, such as the Saudi GIGA projects, which include initiatives like NEOM, Red Sea Global, and Qiddiya, aimed at stimulating economic diversification.

Mr. O.D. Kobo

Director of General Partner

O.D. Kobo is an established investment manager with nearly three decades of experience in the finance and technology sectors. Raised in Hong Kong and educated in London, Kobo has cultivated a network of relationships with sovereign funds, financial institutions, and investor groups across Asia, Europe, Russia, and the Gulf. He has led joint ventures with governments and public-private entities, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising for large-scale projects with an aggregate value exceeding several billion of dollars. Regarded a high-stakes deal-maker, his expertise spans capital structuring, debt financing, equity formation, and cross-border deal management. Kobo has collaborated with organizations such as Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Olayan Group, Caprice Holdings, Chelsfield Partners, China Mobile, CITIC, and CIC, and partnered with figures including HH Al Thani (former Prime Minister of Qatar, Chairman of the QIA), Roman Abramovich (Millhouse Capital), and Teddy Sagi (Labtech, Playtech, SafeCharge), among others. From 2007 to 2018, Kobo was a General Partner at PIR Equities, a private equity firm he co-founded, managing substantial assets and specializing in value-based investing. In 2014, Kobo, as a Board Member, structured and executed the sale of Camden Town Holdings in the UK, marking a substantial transaction and the largest recorded sale in the Borough of Camden, London, generating significant profits for stakeholders. In 2018, he led large investments in BTC and Ethereum, establishing PIR Equities as one of the UK’s initial institutional investors in digital assets. Throughout his career, Kobo has also built and sold companies to entities including the Qatar Investment Authority, MetLife, Lenovo, American Movil, Tencent, Yahoo, and NetEase.​

Ms. Thalia Kong

With over twenty years of international business experience, Thalia Kong has held senior business development roles at Applied Materials, a leading global company known for its manufacturing equipment, services, and semiconductor chips. At Applied Materials, she led initiatives that expanded product reach and technological adoption in the global market. Thalia also served in executive positions at Lam Research, a major global supplier specializing in wafer fabrication equipment and services for the semiconductor industry. Her leadership at Lam Research focused on improving operational efficiencies and expanding service offerings, strengthening the company's position in the semiconductor sector. Throughout her career, Ms. Kong has played a key role in driving expansion and establishing strategic partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region. Her efforts have increased market share and positioned the companies as leaders in sectors such as social commerce and fintech. Ms. Kong's understanding of international markets and her ability to build business relationships have consistently resulted in growth and industry leadership.

Mr. Wong Kam Bun

Investment Manager

Before joining CCVCL in April 2022, Mr. Wong has worked in several securities firms engaging in regulated activities related to market research (RA4) and asset management (RA9) for almost 20 years. Before joining CCVCL, Mr. Wong worked in the capacity as Director/Head of Research in CASH Algo Finance Group Limited and Elite Financial Services Limited responsible for conducting market research, interpreting financial information and preparing investment summaries: assisting EAM for portfolio design and providing research report of Hong Kong equities. From April 2010 to April 2016, Mr. Wong acted in the capacity of Manager at AMTD Global Markets Limited responsible for team building, team management and account servicing for High Net Wealth (HNW) and Option platform clients.
